Araya Baker is a therapist, columnist, and social policy researcher. Their social commentary and public scholarship have been featured in Teen Vogue, The Washington Post, HuffPost, EdPost, Psychology Today, Vice, Buzzfeed, The New York Times, Essence Magazine, and myriad indie and regional outlets. Araya holds an Ed.M. in Human Development from Harvard, an M.Phil.Ed. in Professional Counseling from UPenn, and a B.A. in English from Tufts, where they engaged African & Caribbean literature, Black Arts Movement poetry, queer Black feminism, gospel music, Southern studies, and Swahili.
