Sofía Sanchez

Sofía Hanalei Sanchez is an investigative journalist, writer and audio producer. Her work ranges from cultural profiles to immigration coverage to Peabody-nominated documentaries on school shootings. Hailing from Galena, Ill., she is a graduate from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and is currently based between Chicago, Illinois, and Bogotá, Colombia as a Fulbright Fellow. Sofía previously produced and reported for Futuro Investigates and NPR’s Texas Newsroom. Her work has appeared on NPR Politics, Latino USA, Foreign Policy, All Things Considered, Texas Public Radio, and more.
