Yamilette Vizcaíno Rivera is a queer AfroLatinx writer who lives in NUEVAYoL with her cat, Sofrito. She is Hunter College MFA alum and has received fellowships from the HUES Foundation, Sundress Academy for the Arts, and Velvet Park Media. Her memoir-in-progress was long-listed for the 2024 First Pages Prize, and her online work can be found at Autostraddle and Barrelhouse.
