After much anticipation, the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards finally arrived! And tonight's show certainly had big shoes to fill. (It was just last year when Kanye announced his 2020 presidential campaign, and Justin Bieber got really emotional onstage. How time flies when you're refreshing Instagram.) As we were gearing up to watch the awards earlier today, the celebs were all busy getting into full glam mode. Team USA's Final Five have had a busy week! First they saw Hamilton on Broadway, and now they are at the VMAs to present an award. Unfortunately, Gabby Douglas was hospitalized earlier for undisclosed reasons, and had to miss the VMAs. Gabby posted on Instagram that she is out of the hospital now and resting, and that she was so sad to miss the awards tonight.
