2020 Women's March: The Most Powerful Protest Signs

All across the globe, thousands of people took to the streets on Saturday, January 18 for the fourth annual Women’s March. While the main protest took place in the heart of Washington D.C., sister marches were happening simultaneously around the world — from Hawaii all the way to New Zealand.

The annual event got its start in 2017, one day after President Trump’s inauguration. Since then, the march has drawn protesters speaking out about a host of issues, including reproductive healthcare, LGBTQ+ rights, climate justice, and so much more.

This year, impeachment was front and center at many of the marches, as was the 2020 presidential election, with many protesters looking ahead to a potential (and hopeful) change. The 2020 March also included a “Week of Action” leading up to the protest, with events and workshops dedicated to important topics like climate change, youth activism, and the immigration justice movement.
