7 Schools That Have Designated Nap Stations
ICYMI (which we almost did TBH), today, March 13th, marks National Napping Day! At Teen Vogue, we are huge nap advocates for various reasons — for starters being that napping is one of the ultimate forms of self-care you can give yourself. It can be beyond-easy to get caught up in the chaos of daily obligations and responsibilities, and even easier to get worn out and sleep deprived before realizing it. Which is precisely why carving out a period for some snooze time every day can be prove so beneficial. It's true: according to the National Sleep Foundation, even a short nap lasting about 20-30 minutes can aid in improving our moods, alertness, and overall performance in activities. It's because of this exact reason that so many colleges and universities are choosing to implement pods or stations totally dedicated to napping. This way students have a safe space to catch some shut-eye on campus as opposed to having to trek back to their dorm or apartment. Needless to say, we couldn't be more hear for this, and hope that more and more schools continue to follow suit. In the meantime, however, here are 7 progressive schools that are making nap time more accessible to their students.
