10 Epic '90s TV Shows That Totally Deserve a Reboot
In recent months, we’ve heard many talks of '90s television reboots. The rumors about every show from Hey Arnold to As Told By Ginger have gotten our hopes way, way up, though it’s unclear if there’s any truth to them. Sure, we were given Girl Meets World, a spinoff of the classic Boy Meets World series, and Fuller House is coming to Netflix soon, but if those in charge of our beloved '90s series are going to give more of ‘em back, here are the ones that should be top priorities:

The original series run ended in 2005, and since that’s over a decade ago, enough time has passed for fans to throughly miss it. Folks would revel in the glory of new Powerpuff Girls episodes. The good news for everyone? More episodes actually aren't a pipe dream. Cartoon Network is supposed to deliver the world with new adventures for the Powerpuff Girls this April — but they announced it in 2014, so at some point patience turns to frustration turns to disbelief.

Real talk: Supermarket Sweep looked like a blast. Chucking hams and turkeys into a cart and running around the grocery store without any parents scolding you? Glorious. This could absolutely be brought back, and aside from the host, there weren’t any regular stars, so there wouldn’t be any setbacks on the casting end of things.

The cartoon about a group of fourth graders led by T.J. Detweiler really gave youngsters a relatable animated series that knew the struggles, trials, and tribulations of a grade schooler. With updated subject matter, a reboot could be very beneficial to both this world’s youths and grown '90s kids seeking to satisfy their nostalgia.

They were funny then, and they're still funny now — but think about what they could do together. (We're happy for your SNL appointment and everything, Kenan, but still.) Maybe instead of teenage shenanigans, the modern-day dup could sabotage their lives in adult ways. Think of the possibilities: Kel loses the rent money. Kenan’s check-engine light comes on and he and Kel meet with a shady Craigslist mechanic to fix it. Kel drops his new phone five seconds after buying it. But one thing's for sure: Kel should still love orange soda. Orange soda is forever.

It’s like American Horror Story combined with The Twilight Zone for younger folks — but some episodes are still scary as hell today. Television needs some good old-fashioned scary stories minus the excessive gore and foul language. What better way than the return of the Midnight Society?

This was another game show that every '90s kid dreamed of participating on. Rebuild that set, track down the host, and let people live out their #lifegoals of running through that temple and assembling the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.

This series would absolutely crush right now. The main character, Eliza Thornberry, could speak to animals and was basically all over the globe amongst the wildlife with her family. Maybe make it a smidgen grittier — and possibly go for a live-action reboot? — to fit the whole 2016 vibe and voila, you’ve got a hit.

The persistent, aspiring ladies' man would have to switch up his approach in modern times, but who wouldn’t want to see a cartoon character trying dating apps, texting, and sliding into the DMs of those who draw his interest? (Especially because, come on, we all have an ex as clueless as Mr. Bravo here.)

This puppet show was phenomenal, but it ended on one of the saddest notes I’ve ever seen in the history of happy-go-lucky family TV series. (Two little words: Ice. Age.) Therefore, they need to reboot and leave us with something that we can consider peaceful.

The animated show about a wallaby often pushed boundaries and was considered inappropriate way back when, but nowadays we probably wouldn’t think twice about any of its more risqué moments. Rocko and Heffer could likely do and say a lot of GIF-worthy things, which is really all you need to be successful in this day and age.
