Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson Are Teaming Up for Your New Favorite Disney Channel Original Movie
Photo: Disney Channel1/7Whether you're great with kids or really just a big kid yourself, babysitting is practically a rite of passage for many teens who want an alternative to an after-school job. But sometimes — and we hope this never happens to you — things can go, well, wrong when Mom and Dad are out for the night. Gulp.
While that sounds like every babysitter's worst nightmare, it's the premise of Adventures in Babysitting, the '80s cult classic that is getting an update in an upcoming Disney Channel Original movie. But instead of Elisabeth Shue starring as one babysitter, the remake will star Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson as rival sitters who have to team together to rescue a kid who goes missing.
Jenny, played by Sabrina, is dependable and the babysitter every parent calls; Sofia's Lola is rebellious and takes one of Jenny's job when the two accidentally swap phones. It might not sound like the recipe for instant friendship, but sometimes you have to put your differences aside for the greater good, and so that no one winds up in bigger trouble than they already are.
The movie will debut on the Disney Channel later this year, but for now, Teen Vogue is premiering six exclusive photos from the film. Check them out ahead, and be thankful this has never happened on your watch. (Not like it would, of course, but we're still breathing sighs of relief.)
