Alfeya Valrina’s Tiny Handbags Were All Over NYFW Street Style

The trends that happen off the runway are often just as important. This season, it was tiny bags from Jakarta-based handbag brand Alfeya Valrina. Everyone from stylist Solange Franklin and buyer-turned-style blogger Janelle Marie Lloyd to...um, me, Teen Vogue’s Fashion News Editor, was carrying them.

The designer was trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, but she started her eponymous line to promote fair labor practices in her home country of Indonesia. Valrina's bags are ethically made and come in leather, corduroy, PVC and many more fun styles. The bright colors made them easy to spot on the streets of New York adding a cool factor to any outfit, and their size was right on trend with all the other tiny bags It girls have been carrying since last year (like Telfar ones that keep selling out).

Now, Valrina's bags are finally available online with prices ranging from $175 to $235. The best part? We now have plenty of inspiration for how to style them.
