How To Make An Animal Print Trench Coat
1/6You Will Need
-Trench coat, like this one from Gap
-Acrylic craft paint in light brown, black, and lime green
-Plastic plates
-Paper towel or rag
2/6Stamp Light Brown Paint
Lay your trench coat flat, and remove the belt and any wrist ties. Squeeze small amounts of paint onto plastic plates. Hold your thumb and three fingers together in a tight cluster arrangement and dip them in the brown paint. Keeping this same finger arrangement, stamp a shape by pressing the flat tops of your fingers onto the sleeve of the trench.
3/6Stamp Green And Black Paint
Repeat in a close cluster for a total of 10 stamps, dipping your fingers in paint between each stamp. Try rotating your wrist or slightly moving your finger arrangement for varying shapes.
Wipe your fingers clean on a paper towel or rag. Dip your index finger in the lime green paint and stamp it in the center of one of the brown shapes, overlapping the brown paint spots. The spot will slightly mix with the brown paint under it. Clean your index finger again, and dip it in the black paint. Stamp the centers of the remaining brown shapes, dipping your finger between each stamp. Lastly, stamp a black spot on top of the lime green spot.
4/6The Finished Trench
5/6Continue Stamping
Continue this process on the collar and lapels, as well as the other arm. After the front of the trench is dry, flip it over and repeat on the backside of the sleeves.
6/6Work Your Way Up Sleeve
Working your way up the sleeve, repeat the stamping in clusters of 10, with one lime center for each cluster.
