What’s your dream job?
To be an actress. I just love the idea of changing your identity completely and making it believable. Like, no, I’m not Arden Rose, I’m Gladys Pepperbottom, an old English housewife with four children!
When did you first decide to start your channel?
I first got on YouTube out of tween girl jealousy. In eighth grade my best friend at the time started a beauty channel, and (stricken with envy!) I began my own channel to compete with her. As years went by that fire died, and my channel became the benevolent entity you know today.
Which is your most-viewed video?
How to Make Your Hair Grow Longer, Faster. I guess people need to get better hairdressers or just stop cutting their own hair.
- This vlogger gives beauty and life advice, like when she talks to her viewers about tips for having a great high school experience.3/5
Where are you from?
Little Rock, Arkansas. It's a nice quiet Southern town hidden by trees and Super Walmarts.
What's your favorite subject in school?
Either French or English, and I would love to delve more into language in college—maybe even dabble with Mandarin if I'm feeling brave.
What after-school activities have you been involved with?
I was a cheerleader for four years. Looking back, I can't believe I survived that long. When I have smile lines in 30 years, I'm blaming my coach for yelling at me to be peppy all the time. The sides of my mouth can only take so much cheer.
- In haul videos, Arden shows her subscribers what she bought and what she thinks of each purchase.4/5
**Tell us about your single most frustrating vlogging moment. **
Anyone who relies on the internet for work can relate to this. Wi-Fi connectivity is a torture device meant to lure you into a false sense of security, only to completely stop working when you need it most. I can’t wait until the internet can run on brain waves alone. Come on, scientists!
What’s your favorite part about being a YouTube beauty guru?
I just love my viewers. Honestly, they are the sweetest, funniest, most clever people. I’m pretty sure any one of them could be my best friend in real life.
**Who are a few gurus that you love to watch? **
I love MissGlamorazzi for her monthly favorites, AndreasChoice for her tutorials, Grav3yardGirl for her... everything, and StyleHaul for their LEAFtv series. Seriously, DIY projects are the bomb.

**What’s the latest beauty product you have fallen in love with? **
Dr. Feelgood by Benefit. If you don’t feel like wearing any powder or foundation, it only mattifies and prevents shine. I love it for my lazy face days.
**Do you have any cool storage tricks for keeping all your stuff organized? **
Make everything a show piece. I lose things if they’re not in sight, so I have my makeup all laid out nicely on my desk. It looks great and keeps me from misplacing things.
