13 Reality Stars Who Deserve Their Own Shows
Reality television has become part of our everyday culture – so much that it’s hard not to flip through the channels at any time of day without stumbling upon several reality shows. Although reality television feels like a relatively new phenomenon, it has actually been around since the 1940s, and became increasingly popular in the 1970s. In fact, MTV’s The Real World was inspired by a PBS television series called An American Family that first premiered in 1973.
Today, reality TV looks a lot different, thanks to networks like E! and Bravo, who have given us Keeping Up With The Kardashians and The Real Housewives, respectively. And while we love following the Kardashians and the Jenners, we can’t help but feel nostalgic for some of the reality stars of the ‘90s and ‘00s. Here are 10 celebs that we’d definitely watch in a reboot if we got the chance.

The cast of The Jersey Shore
“Cabs are here!!!!!” While MTV’s The Jersey Shore was basically a how-to guide on what not to do while on summer vacation, we can’t help but feel nostalgic for the drama between Ronnie and Sammi. Also, we all kind of wanted a duck phone after watching this show. #GTL forever.

Alex Newell
You know Alex Newell from his role as Unique Adams on Glee, but Alex got his start on The Glee Project – a reality show designed to find unknown actors for the show. He originally was supposed to have a small role, but because he was so popular, Unique became a regular on the series. Now that's star power.

Adam Lambert
American Idol’s runner up Adam Lambert was amazing in, like, every way possible. He’s released several albums of his own since appearing on the show, and he was even on an episode of Pretty Little Liars (remember the Halloween train?!) But we’re pretty sure he deserves his own reality show, right away.

Justin Guarini
Justin Guarini was the runner-up on the first season of American Idol, losing to Kelly Clarkson. Despite not winning first place, Justin went on to release more music and then took his talents to Broadway. But let’s not ever forget the most iconic moment of his career – his epic movie with Kelly Clarkson called From Justin to Kelly. Don’t lie – we know you still watch it from time to time, and we don’t blame you one bit.

Whitney Mixter
Whitney Mixter appeared on the reality show The Real L Word that was modeled after the successful Showtime drama of almost the same name. The show follows a group of women in the LGBTQ community throughout their daily lives as they experience work, relationships, friends, and family. Whitney, with her relatable personality and energy, was a fan favorite on the show. Reunion, please?

Courtney Robinson
Love her or hate her, Courtney Robinson will go down in Bachelor history as one of the most memorable contestants of all time. From her signature “unimpressed” face to her confessionals with the perfect amount of shade-throwing, it was hard not to admire her skills. After all, she won the final rose while being promoted as the show’s villain, which was pretty much a first in The Bachelor franchise.

The ladies of Eden’s Crush
Back when the CW was still the WB, they aired an amazing show called Popstars. The American Idol-esque series was designed to find the next all-girl music group. In 2001, the show created the group Eden’s Crush, and they were pretty awesome. However, they were disbanded after only a year. Reunion tour, maybe? (It should be noted that Nicole Scherzinger has gone on to be a major star in her own right.)

Jesse Camp
We have to talk about Jesse Camp. He won the first edition of MTV’s Wanna Be a DJ contest, which led to him working as the co-host alongside Carson Daly on Total Request Live. Later, he hosted two of his own shows on MTV, and in case you forgot this amazing detail – he had an album of his own called Jesse and the 8th Street Kidz. (No, really.)

Lo Bosworth
Lo was essentially the dark horse of both Laguna Beach and The Hills, and it can easily be argued that she’s one of the best people on both shows. When Lo wasn’t around much in the second season of Laguna, fans thought that she might not be on The Hills at all, but she made a huge comeback – remember when she and Lauren Conrad adopted that dog in season 4? Now, Lo is a blogger and YouTuber – but we’d totally watch her on TV if she ever got her own reality show.

Audrina Partridge
Audrina was another character on The Hills that we kind of fell in love with, despite that whole fight with Heidi. It seemed like she was making a comeback a few years ago when she got her own reality show on VH1 called Audrina, but it only ran for one season. IDK, can we just get a whole new season of The Hills already?

Tiffany “New York” Pollard
Let’s be honest, we love reality TV because we all just live for the drama, right? Tiffany Pollard earned notoriety when she attempted to fight another contestant on Flavor of Love at a reunion – which went down in VH1 history as one of the craziest celeb fights of all time. Tiffany’s reality fame is still going strong, as she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, but we wouldn’t be mad if she ever got her own show.

Old-school Jessica and Ashlee Simpson
When it comes to reality shows, it’s really hard to compete with the two gems that were Newlyweds and The Ashlee Simpson Show. From Jessica’s infamous “chicken or fish?” question to Ashlee’s boyfriend drama, it was hard not to fall in love with the Simpson sisters. Now, if only they would join forces and make a new show together – that would be epic.
