In particular, Dr. Chacon recommends formulas that contain salicylic acid, an ingredient that may help clear pores and dissolve dead skin cells. “It will also help with excess oil production,” she adds. “That being said, you also want to look for products that are oil-free when possible because excess oils can be pore-clogging and lead to breakouts.”
