As you prep your party looks, Essie has announced the launch of a polish line made for a night of glitz and gifts.

Their new shimmer-filled Concrete Glitters collection has officially arrived online and in stores. The six limited-edition shades include a slick silver ("Stay Up Slate"), a rosy pink dusted with twinkle ("Beat of the Moment"), and a brilliant fuchsia pink ("City Slicker"). The collection —Essie's first made of crushed glitter — features a new polish formula that's said to help your nails really sparkle. In fact, Essie recommends skipping a top coat and just letting your manicure shine.

When it comes to glitter nail polish, there's no shortage of other possible polish options. Glitters come in so many sizes, shapes, and colors that it's easy to customize a lacquer's glitz level to your mood.

If you've ever applied a glitter polish straight out of the bottle only to pack on the coats in an effort to maximize payoff, you're not alone. Luckily, there's a nifty hack to instantly get more coverage — and in less time, too. "The way to get complete coverage is to dab the glitter polish on with the brush, not stroke it on," New York City-based editorial nail artist Miss Pop tells Teen Vogue. "Also, be sure to shake up the polish so the glitter isn’t all settled at the bottom — when I first get a glitter shade, I sometimes dump out some of the extra clear polish hanging out at the top."

As for artist-approved nail art that's cute and easy to DIY? "I love throwing a few bright multi-colored medium sized loose glitters on almost-dry polish — my favorite is atop black or navy," nail artist and Paintbox Creative Director Julie Kandalec tells Teen Vogue. "[It] looks super cool and easy breezy."

When the glitter party is over, there's no denying that the removal process can take more elbow grease than a traditional color. Next time you're ready to switch up your polish, don't waste time scrubbing at your nail beds; instead, Miss Pop recommends clients split up cotton balls into ten small pieces, soak each one in remover, and let them sit on nails for a few minutes. (In other words, simply let the remover work its magic.) "When you go to wipe it off, the glitter polish should be completely dissolved," she says. "Then, using a big cotton ball soaked in remover, wipe the little pieces and any excess polish off."
