While some, like Mindy Kaling and Tina Fey have made careers of their comedic prowess, and translate it well onto the page, others like Lauren Conrad, Snooki, and Bella Thorne are some of the more surprising stars to climb up the New York Times best-seller chart — but they totally did, and it was well deserved. Demi Lovato
Staying Strong is a collection of 365 positive affirmations, reflections, and goals written by Demi to help readers work through issues similar to the ones she’s faced. “This book is a collection of my own words, quotes that inspire me, as well as lessons, meditations, reflections, and daily goals. They have helped me tremendously, and it's a special and personal gift that I want to share with all of you,” Demi explains in a letter to her readers.

Lauren Conrad

Mindy Kaling
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? is an essential read for any young women with aspirations of working in entertainment. It details Mindy’s rise to fame, from her days as a nerdy high school student, a member of a comedy troupe at Dartmouth, and a 20-something nanny living in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn. Snooki
Even though Jersey Shore ended back in 2012, the show gave us Snooki (a.k.a. Nicole Polizzi), who’s still notorious for her big hair and bigger attitude, and her book: A Shore Thing. The story follows a very Snooki-like character, Gia, as she embarks on a summer adventure on the Jersey Shore featuring “hot guidos, cool clubs, and fried Oreos,” populated by characters with names like Bender Newberry and Tony “Trouble” Troublino.
