Harry Potter’s Best TBT Beauty Moments
Though Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone hit theaters way back in 2001, it’s safe to say the HP series fanfare is still at fever pitch. (To put that in perspective, the series is as old as Kaia Gerber. But I digress!) Just glance at the latest wave of Elder Wand-inspired makeup brushes, palettes packed with dreamy pots of sparkly shadows and a dash of magic, or Deathly Hallows temporary tats, and you’ll quickly find yourself getting swept up in Pottermania.
It may seem like a pretty unlikely source of beauty inspo, but who can deny Harry Potter’s influence on the cosmetics world, given all of the makeup collections dedicated to the Boy Who Lived? I personally challenge you to re-watch each film — which, yes, technically means sacrificing the better part of an entire weekend in order to binge-watch the whole series (is it really a sacrifice?) — and not get inspired by Luna Lovegood’s cloudy haze of curls or Hermione’s transformation from flyaway-plagued bookworm to studious beauty. If anything, you can channel your inner Gryffindor to pull off a look much more daring than your go-to.
