You Have to See the 'Boycott Beyoncé' Merch from the Formation Tour
Getty Images1/6In February, just after the debut of Beyoncé's "Formation" video, several police unions called for a boycott of her impending world tour. They took issue with a scene in "Formation" where she featured a little black boy dancing in front of a line of officers. Some even went so far as to accuse the superstar of being anti-police.
Beyoncé, of course, remained unbothered through it all. In fact, she's capitalizing on the drama by selling "Boycott Beyoncé" merch at her own concert. A fan account, Bey Legion, shared images of her Formation Tour merchandise on Twitter, including a "Boycott Beyoncé" t-shirt and phone case. It's her way of kindly asking the entire Miami police department to bow down.
Even more embarrassing for the anti-Beyoncé brigade? Despite the onslaught of media headlines, their threatened boycott was wildly unsuccessful. The Miami concert, which kicks off tonight, is fully staffed by security. Beyoncé gets the last laugh once again.
