How to Make Bleach Printed Shorts
1/7What You Need
-Denim shorts
-Cardboard
-A disappearing ink fabric marker or tailor chalk
-A bleach pen
-A thin black permanent marker
2/7Prep for Bleaching
Slide cardboard inside the shorts to keep the bleach from soaking through to the other side. You'll also want to cover your work area and clothes—you may even want to wear gloves to protect your skin!
3/7Paint the Design
Carefully trace over the design with the bleach pen. Work slowly because any mistakes will show on the shorts.
4/7Add Embellishment
Embellish your design with dots and hatch marks, and then repeat on the other leg of the shorts. Allow the bleach to dry, and wash the shorts following the instructions on the bleach pen packaging.
5/7Mark the Design
Plan out the basic shape of your design, marking it on the shorts with the fabric marker or tailor chalk.
6/7Outline the Design
Once the shorts dry, outline sections of the bleached design with permanent marker for added oomph.
