11 YA Couples We'll Always Be Obsessed With
The couples of your favorite young adult books know how to make you swoon. From the meet-cutes to the tentative first date to the professions of undying love (or at least an elaborate promposal), Nicholas Sparks has nothing on romantic YA. Their whispers are the quotes you doodle on your folder, hoping someone might write something half as romantic to you some day.
This year there'll be plenty of new YA couples to get to know and love, from the couple certain to emerge from YA romance veteran Sarah Desssen's Saint Anything to the magical couple already teased in Fan Girl taking center stage in Rainbow Rowell's upcoming novel Carry On. But before new couples are welcomed into the fold, let's look at some YA pairs who will always have a special place in our hearts.

Percy and Annabeth, Percy Jackson
Percy and Annabeth have such a strong bond they can even survive the worst couple nickname since Bennifer (Percabeth sounds like something a fancy coffee machine could do). Even with the many petty jealousies that could have come between them, and the stress of their demigod status, they stuck together.

Mia and Adam, If I Stay
The reigning sob inducing couple of YA until Hazel and Gus stole the crown, Mia and Adam's love was built on something stronger than their shared passion for music. They respected what was important to each other, and even though they had different personality types, they liked who they were when they were together.

America and Maxon, The Selection Trilogy
In the world of The Selection, even competitive romance can lead to true love. America and Maxon's connection proves first love isn't always forever, and two people from different (really, really different) backgrounds can find true happiness together.

Anna and Étienne, Anna and the French Kiss
Because the only thing better than romance is international romance. And a couple who begins their relationship in Paris is bound to be in it for the long haul (for confirmation, check out Stephanie Perkins's second book, Lola and the Boy Next Door).

Katniss and Peeta, The Hunger Games
Sorry to all those still clinging to your Katniss+Gale 4EVA banners, but couples hunting was never in the cards for our heroine. Sometimes your perfect match bestie isn't who you need as a partner, and Peeta's sweetness (baker pun completely intentional) always complimented Katniss' strength.

Ron and Hermione, Harry Potter
Even the most hardcore HP fan is sometimes uncertain about their thoughts on this pairing (even J.K. Rowling regrets it) but don't let movie-Ron's dopiness make your forget book-Ron's heart. Maybe no one was really worthy of Hermione, but Ron is definitely a solid choice.

Ava and Emi, Everything Leads to You
Ava and Emi's love story had everything you could want in such a rose-tinted narrative—a beautiful girl, a star-studded mystery, artistic triumphs for both girls completely intertwined. But things didn't get truly heartwarming until the excitement died down and they could just enjoy each other.

Hazel Grace and Gus, The Fault in Our Stars
Hazel and Gus are so much more than a collection of romantic quotes to put on your Tumblr. Their relationship was so beautiful because they saw each other at their worst, in pain, lashing out, and kept loving each other. They knew how their story ended, and they were still grateful for each other.

Tris and Four, Divergent
Definitely a couple who could have been voted Least Likely to Succeed (not that dauntless did senior superlatives) these two had everything thrown at their fragile relationship, from grief and guilt on both ends to a mysterious new girl. But they never gave up on each other.
