12 Celeb Music Video Cameos That You Totally Forgot About
There are plenty of celebrities and actors who have tried the whole music career thing. Some make the transition more smoothly than others, becoming bonafide singers. Meanwhile, some just stick to acting. And there have been plenty of performers who have made appearances in music videos for other artists. Some play characters within the video's plot and others portray themselves (we're looking at you, James Van Der Beek).
These cameos also let us see another side of some of our favorite stars. A number end up performing alongside their partners in these videos, such as couple Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid in the former One Direction member's video for "PILLOWTALK." Or actors get to bring a character to life with some of the hottest songs setting the tone and helping tell the story, as in Dianna Argon's case for "I'm Not the Only One." From Justin Bieber to Ashley Graham, here are our favorite celebrity cameos in music videos.

Fall Out Boy fans may remember this odd music video because of the well-dressed monkeys running rampant around the set, but another memorable appearance features the future Internet-breaking queen herself, Kim Kardashian West. Kim K’s character is an actress for the video within the video, and after (literally) taking direction from a monkey, she seeks out the heavily eyelinered bad boy, Pete Wentz, and the two lock lips in a steamy kiss.

When LCD Soundsystem released their video for “Pow Pow” in 2010, Anna Kendrick had just been nominated for an Oscar for her role in Up in the Air. The Pitch Perfect leading lady donned a sequined dress and partied her way through the night in this upbeat alt-rock video.

At the height of her One of the Boys fame, the pop princess was dating Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy, so it only made sense that she was asked to guest in this mid-2000s hit, which featured FOB frontman Patrick Stump on vocals. As Travie makes his way through a long line of failed relationships, Katy comes in at the end of the video to save the day and bring him his happy ending.

Tom Hanks must really like CRJ to lip-synch and dance around as much as he did in this video. Walking around the streets of New York City’s beautiful SoHo neighborhood, Tom signed autographs and took selfies with his irresistibly charming, Oscar-winning smile. Partner that with an epic flash mob — complete with an appearance by Justin Bieber — and this peppy pop tune and its accompanying video are both sure to make you laugh.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid’s relationship is far from under the radar, so it comes as no surprise that the former One Direction member asked her to star in his breakout single’s racy music video. The supermodel embraced her beau while sporting a latex two-piece and thigh-high boots.

Beyoncé’s Lemonade visual album had no shortage of cameos throughout its entirety, but the video for “All Night” featured some prominent up-and-coming faces in Hollywood. Amandla Stenberg (of Hunger Games fame), former Disney Channel star Zendaya, and sister duo Chloe x Halle made appearances in the politically charged visual. Queen Bey has reportedly stated that she wants her daughter, Blue Ivy, to grow up to be like Amandla, and Zendaya has been vocal in her social activism in the Black Lives Matter and body-positivity movements.

Ashley Graham stars as Joe Jonas’s love interest in this video for his eclectic pop project. Upon its initial release, the video was praised for featuring a plus-sized woman without her body being a focal point, as Ashley has been an outspoken advocate for body positivity in the beauty and modeling industries.

The dark music video features Megan in a toxic relationship with actor Dominic Monaghan.
