Blogger Of The Moment: Cheap Thrills
The only thing better than a perfect thrift store find is the way Raezavel Argullo crafts her affordable vintage wares into priceless ensembles on her blog Cheap Thrills. With a penchant for leather, bright colors, and high-waisted shorts, Raeveal sports looks that convey a unique sense personal style so easy to draw inspiration from—not only are her outfits wearable, but they are refreshingly cheap and always chic.
In a lighthearted tone, Raezavel voices the trials and tribulations of a girl hoping to, as she puts it, "make it work" in life. With her stories come moments of day-to-day triumph, and of course, the enviable fashions that help get her through.

**Why did you initially decide to start a blog? **
I loved the idea of a place where I could share my thoughts on fashion and trends. As I got more into blogging, I discovered other people with similar interests and styles and started to use it as a way to express my own style.

**What is the story behind your blog's title? **
I started my blog fairly young—14 going on 15—and my style was (and still is) developing. I became interested in vintage and thrifting around the time I started blogging so I aptly named my blog "Cheap Thrills," honoring the thrill of finding amazing unique clothes for so little!
** If your blog had a mission statement, what would it be? **
It would be my fashion/life mantra: "Make it work!" Thanks, Tim Gunn.

**How would you describe your style? **
I hate this answering this question! I don't like labeling myself and committing to one "style." I would say my style is always evolving and consistently inconsistent.
**Who are your favorite designers? **
I really love Mark Fast, Rick Owens, Olivier Theyskens, Gareth Pugh, Alber Elbaz, and Alexander McQueen.

**Any advice for anyone who wants to start her own blog? **
Write about something you know very well or have a genuine interest for—do your own thing. Find ways to stand out from the crowd, but always stick to your true self.
**What are the best aspects of running your own blog? What are the hardest aspects? **
The biggest reward is when people leave your blog inspired, whether with your writing, style or photographs. What else could a blogger want? I'd say the biggest challenge about running your own blog is getting started on generating income. Everyone can reach the point eventually, but it's not the easiest thing to figure out.

** What do you do when you’re not blogging? **
Go to photography school, work, cook, do laundry. I’ll read or draw sometimes, but blogging takes up a lot of my time.
**What are your personal favorite blogs? **
I like blogs with original content or style that inspire me and bloggers with interesting photography or an individualistic voice. My favorite blogs right now include Love Aesthetics, STOP IT RIGHT NOW, A Pair and A Spare, Zanita, and Costra y Ampolla.

**Where are your favorite places to shop? **
I actually hate malls, mostly because I work in one. So I always resort to thrift stores, vintage stores, and finding weird stuff on eBay.
**Are there any trends you are particularly inspired by this season? **
Not really... I try not to take trends too seriously. I'd rather look to street style blogs and my favorite blogs for inspiration.

**What type of camera do you use? **
I've been using my trusty camera, Dave, since 2008. He's a Canon Rebel xsi.
**How do you capture your outfits each day? **
It's sucks that a boyfriend is many a blogger's secret weapon when it comes to taking their photos. Aren't we all independent, strong women? What's up with that? Ha! I take my own pictures with a tripod and self timer and occasionally, I'll get my sister or a friend who's into photography.
