Get Chloë Grace Moretz's Hair and Makeup Look from New York Comic Con
Chloë Grace Moretz caused a stir with her tousled buttery blonde waves and softly rimmed eyes at New York Comic Con while promoting her upcoming film Carrie. She went for a casual-cool vibe, balancing out a sweet, powder blue skirt and fresh complexion with her tough-girl black jacket and long dark lashes.
Coupled with her "downtown effortless" hairstyle courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson, this simple makeup look can easily be taken from school to a late-night movie with friends if you "intensify the liner by winging it out to add drama," says celebrity makeup artist Nick Barose. Here, Chloë's beauty team reveals each step to her easy-to-achieve look.

The Makeup
Celebrity makeup artist Nick Barose gives us the breakdown of Chloë's five minute makeup look. He began by prepping her skin with La Mer The Foundation in Ivory for an even tone and followed that with MAC Pro Set Powder, a loose translucent powder applied just on her t-zone. Then, Barose lightly dusted Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in 02 around the perimeter of her face to warm up her skin. For her simple smoky eye, he lined her upper and lower lash line with Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil in Onyx, making sure to stay as close to the lash line as possible. Barose had Chloë "squeeze her eyes tight so the liner smudged and ran a little to give it that artfully messy look," cleaning up around the edges with Q-tips. The liner shouldn't look perfect or too precise. Barose finished her smoky eye with two coats of Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara. It's important to keep brows nice and groomed with the smudgy liner look, so Barose combed Chloë's lashes with CoverGirl Professional Natural Lash Mascara in Clear. To balance out the dark, strong eyes, Barose dabbed melon-toned Jouer Tint in Orchid on the apples of her cheeks and on her lips.

The Hair
Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson went for texture and movement with Chloë's effortless style. He began by spritzing Ted Gibson Build It Blowdrying Agent all over her wet hair and applying Ted Gibson Fix It Gel for volume and shine. Gibson used a flat brush to smooth her hair and then curled it using a medium-sized iron separated into 2-inch sections across her head. According to Gibson, "The key is leaving the ends out so that you have a natural downtown finish and texture that all girls love." He completed the style with Ted Gibson Beautiful Hold Hairspray and finger-combed for a slightly undone finish.
