1/6What You'll Need
A fitted white tank and an extra-large t-shirt needle and white thread two yards of elastic safety pin yellow tailor's chalk scissors
2/6Step 1: The Bottom Line
Pin the tank hem under to make a casing for the elastic. Sew; stop two inches short of closing. Pull the elastic through with a safety pin. Sew the ends of elastic together and close the casing.
3/6Step 2: Piece Plan
Using a ruler and yellow chalk, mark diagonal lines measuring one inch in width on the extra-large T-shirt. Next, cut strips out along the lines.
4/6Step 3: By a Thread
Put the needle and thread through the center of each fabric strip and pull through the center for the length of the strip, cinching it as you go along; then knot.
5/6Step 4: Flower Power
Pin the fabric strips on the tank in the shape of flowers, and sew on the rosettes. Finally, sew one ruffled strip along each armhole halfway up each side.
