1/6Elle wore a vintage romper with bells sewn in the hem to the Katy Perry concert. "I had to find something super special," she explains. "After the show, my friend and I got to go backstage and meet Katy. She was so nice and we had so much fun. She loved the bells in my hem. She was like, you're jingling!"
2/6"I get really into Halloween," says Elle. The inspiration for her Morton Salt Girl costume, which she wore to school this year, came when "I looked in the pantry!" she says, laughing. "What I did was I put lip-gloss on, and then I kissed sugar so it looked like salt on my lips. It actually lasted till lunch, and then I reapplied it. It tasted pretty good!" To get just the right shade of yellow for her dress, she and her dad spray-painted it. "It's the fun to do it yourself," she says.
3/6After the concert, Elle and her pal went backstage and gave it to Perry, who, Elle says, "was so sweet. I wonder what she did with it?"
4/6"Me and my friend worked so hard on this poster for Katy," says Elle. "It looked like crafts just exploded on it." Among the decorations were vintage photos from the 1950s, pictures of Barbies and babies, candy wrappers, glitter—plus images straight from the pages of .
