We Gave This Fashion Intern the Coolest Cubicle Makeover Ever

Hali Levandowski, a 20-year-old student at the University of Michigan, is spending her summer as a PR intern at Express, a gig she scored while visiting NYC to attend Teen Vogue Fashion University. To make her feel more at home in the big city, she enlisted the help of Homepolish to revamp her office space. There's no question about it: An intern cubicle has never looked this chic.

Homepolish is a stylish startup that hopes to make interior decorating — which often costs a pretty penny (or two thousand of 'em) — accessible and affordable. They teamed in-house interior designer Justin DiPiero up with Hali to help make her dream digs a reality, and though the space isn't sprawling, they made the most of her cubicle with lots of light, personality galore, and though they stuck with a minimalistic metallic color scheme, they added a few strategic touches of color to brighten things up.

"I think it's important to have a key statement piece hanging by your desk," she said. "Whether a personal photo, a rendition of a painting, a magazine clip, or anything really. Having something hanging at your desk that means a lot to you personally is more than enough to show your personality and make your desk cozy."

She's thrilled with her new space, not only because it's so straight-up stylish, but also because it helps her stay on top of her ever-expanding to-do list. After all, organization, she says, is the key to being a good intern. "There is always so much going on at work," she says. "A desk organizer and post-its are key for me. I'm constantly writing myself notes so I remember what I need to do!"
