How 6 Emerging Models Landed a MAJOR Fashion Campaign

Kate Upton. Karlie Kloss. Emily Ratajkowski. These are just a few of the famous faces we associate with the Express brand. Landing a coveted spot in an Express ad is a game-changing gig for any model, especially an emerging name in the fashion industry.
That’s certainly true for the six rising stars in the brand’s new summer campaign: Ophelie Guillermand, Sistine Stallone, Devon Windsor, Luna Bijl, Aneta Pajak, and Londone Myers-Lions. Mark our words: you’ll be seeing lots more of these ladies soon. In the meantime, let’s get you acquainted — keep clicking to meet the whole gang!

Teen Vogue: Tell us about your pre-modeling career.I had a lot of odd jobs: I was a Starbucks barista, then I went on to be a bartender. That didn't work out so I started working at the zoo, but couldn’t handle the heat — so I got a job as an autopsy technician! I was discovered [by a casting agent] on Instagram soon after that, though, came out for fashion week… and here I am now!
TV: Your biggest Netflix indulgence is…I like horror movies. I was just watching this one called Trollhunter.
TV: Best beauty trick learned on set, please![Makeup artist] Pat McGrath told me Latisse will help my sparse eyebrows grow longer. Then another one of my makeup artist friends was like, ‘Why don't you go and get Canadian Latisse because it's cheaper and you can get it online?'
TV: Favorite piece from the campaign? The red and gold skirt with the turquoise belt, and the black ribbed crop top — something I can wear anywhere! It makes me really excited for the upcoming summer.

Sistine StalloneHometown: Los Angeles, California
TV: Do you have style secrets from Papa Stallone (as in Sylvester, NBD)?I would never take a style tip from my dad! Let me tell you, he has gone through the worst phases: skulls and rhinestones… oh god, I would never! He does his thing, and I do mine.
TV: How do you keep your hair so healthy and thick between shoots?I do a heated Moroccan oil mask after a photoshoot because my hair gets fried from all the curling and the hair spray. Just keep it on for 20 minutes, wash it out in the shower, and you’ll feel (and smell!) amazing!
TV: Any unexpected talents?I can eat an unlimited number of donuts. Even if I've had like 15, I'll have another one. It's a gift.
TV: Favorite piece from the campaign? The long black cotton dress that's sheer at the bottom: It’s so comfortable and, with the right accessories, you can make it work for day or night. The best of both worlds!

Devon WindsorHometown: St. Louis, Missouri
TV: Summer’s coming — any beach style tips?Well, I wear a lot of bikinis on the job, so I know what works. My favorite right now has a ‘cage’ style top with two straps going across the chest and the back in a cool criss-cross design. It doesn’t matter if you’re busty or have no boobs because the cage disguises it, and distracts from your chest size — which I really like because mine is on the smaller side.
TV: Any hidden talents? If I wasn't modeling, I'd pursue cooking for sure. My go-to recipe is the same every time: angel hair pasta with grilled shrimp and a white wine tomato, garlic, and basil sauce. It's really very good: fresh, because it's got the shrimp; not too heavy, thanks to the sauce.
TV: Which shoes in your closet get the most action?Sneakers became fashionable this year, so I am totally taking advantage of that! I have so many Adidas Stan Smith sneakers, in every possible color — black, white, blue, the list goes on. They go with jeans, naturally, but I wore mine out during Paris fashion week one night with a black Balmain dress, and it somehow worked.
TV: Favorite piece from the campaign? The white lace maxi that's slit right up the middle. It’s super fun and cute for summer — sexy, but also very classy. I would wear it to pool parties, barbecues, and out to dinner with friends. It's very versatile; you can do it during the day with sandals, and at night with heels.

Luna BijlHometown: Rotterdam, Netherlands
TV: If you weren’t a model, you would be…Doing something with traveling! But as a kid, I wanted to be a part of the Nitro Circus — it's a [European group that performs extreme sports on television].
TV: How do you keep long flights from taking a toll on your skin?Because I wear so much foundation at shoots, it’s important to take advantage of free time to let my skin breathe. So I clean my face really well before flying, and let it be how it is. When I come off the plane, I add a foundation under my eyes, and that’s it.
TV: What’s the most surprising thing in your handbag?I'm learning for my driver's license, so I’ve been carrying around a DMV handbook everywhere to study.
TV: Favorite piece from the campaign?I love all of them, but especially the black dress — it was a bit sexy, and very nice. And I wear a lot of black.

Ophelie GuillermandHometown: Verdun, France
TV: How did you break into the industry?I was really focused on my studies in Paris, but a photographer I met was like, ‘You really have to [try modeling.]’ So he recorded me one day on FaceTime and [the casting agents] were like, ‘We have to get you to New York.’ Five days later, I was on my way! I tried it, I loved it, and I've been here for a year and half now.
TV: How can we all dress like Parisians?Parisian women wear a lot of black, and love vintage. There's a lot of cool secondhand shops in the city. French girls are dressed in jeans most of the time, with a nice long shirt, and big oversize blazer. Those are the main things: mostly jeans, and mostly black!
TV: What’s the tastiest thing you’ve eaten in America?I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich the first day I arrived, and was like, ‘Oh wow, what is that!?’ Thanksgiving has amazing food, too. I love the pumpkin pie!
TV: Favorite piece from the campaign?I think my evening dress was amazing. I would would wear it to a party with a choker. Shoe-wise, it could go either way: cool with sneakers, chic with heels.

Aneta PajakHometown: Wandzinów, Poland
TV: Give us your best posing tip.I have no idea, really! For me, becoming a model was an accident — I still can't believe that I look good in pictures! After graduating from university, I moved to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, and a photographer from my mother's agency found me in a shopping center. By industry standards I was really old to get started, like 23, but it all worked out.
TV: Any Polish food you miss in the states?Pierogis: It’s a delicious dumpling you can put anything inside: meat, fruit, cheese! My favorite is with meat or mushrooms.
TV: Beauty hacks — do you have any good ones?Use honey and sugar as a scrub for your lips.
TV: Favorite piece from the campaign?I am crazy about scarves, so I love how the neck tie blouse has one built in. It’s classic, but not boring!
