How to Make an Eyelet-Embellished Sweatshirt
1/10What You Need
-A gray sweatshirt
-1/4 yard of eyelet fabric
-1/4 yard of double-sided fusible interfacing
-Wax paper
-A pair of scissors
-A permanent marker
-A disappearing ink marker
-An iron and ironing board
2/10Trace the Bib Shape
Roll wax paper over the top of the sweatshirt. Trace the neckline and shoulder seams using the permanent marker, and connect the ends with a half-circle.
3/10Cut Out the Shape
Cut the shape out of the wax paper.
4/10Trace onto the Eyelet
Trace the wax paper shape onto the eyelet fabric using the disappearing ink marker.
5/10Refine the Shape
Remove the wax paper, and refine the half-circle shape so the line doesn't go through any of the eyelets.
6/10Cut out the Fabric
Cut out the traced eyelet fabric shape.
7/10Cut out the Interfacing
Using the eyelet shape as a guide, cut out a similar shape from the interfacing.
8/10Prepare to Iron
Place the sweatshirt on the ironing board, and carefully lay the interfacing in place with the eyelet fabric on top.
9/10The Finished Sweatshirt
10/10Iron the Bib
Cover with wax paper, and iron on a low setting.
