How she landed her job: "I interned at Teen Vogue during college, first in the fashion closet, and then in the fashion features department. I absolutely loved it and was over the moon when I landed my job this past fall."
Her daily responsibilities: "My responsibilities include assisting Jane Keltner de Valle, the Fashion News Director, writing and researching features, setting up scouts with individuals for potential features for the magazine, doing photo research, and coordinating with other departments as we plan our pages."
What she wears to work: "I tend to gravitate towards somewhat minimalist clothing; however, I like to play with interesting and unusual shapes and quirks—little touches that make an outfit unique. I usually wear dark and muted hues, but sometimes I'll mix it up with a pop of color."
Favorite thing about her job: "I feel very fortunate to be able to combine two of my passions: writing and fashion. One of my favorite moments working at Teen Vogue was seeing my byline in print for the first time. It was very surreal to me and fulfilled my longtime dream."

"In addition to scouring the Internet for images for our pages, the fashion news department draws from a library of past and present backstage Fashion Week photos. The binders are organized by season and location, and are a real treat to look through. It's fun to see models vamping it up more before and after shows. We often use these pictures to illustrate the newest trends that we highlight in our stories."

"It's important to keep track of everything that's photographed for the magazine for my department's pages. After we select products, I take pictures of the items slated to be shot, print the images and post them on a large board by my desk. This way, everyone is in the loop about what we're planning for our upcoming features."

"I oversee the hiring of interns for the fashion news department. It's refreshing and fun to meet so many new people with interesting and varied experiences and backgrounds. In addition to being prepared for an interview (which is key), it is also important to be confident and believe in yourself. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions."
5/6Scheduling Fashion Week
"During Fashion Week, I help Jane with her show schedule. I enjoy sorting through the invitations – they have gotten so elaborate! Each one is a little gift in itself."
6/6Updating Backstage Binders
"I coordinate with the photo department to assure that our backstage binders are always current and complete. We have a variety of images in our records – from pictures of models getting their hair and makeup done to shots of them goofing off behind the scenes and rocking seriously cool street style outside the shows. Nothing gets past us!"
