What's your major?
I majored in Studio Art/Graphic Design and minored in Art History. When I graduated high school, I just knew art was the right path to take. I think it was because I had the best grades and most fun in my AP Photography class!
Where did you grow up?
I spent my childhood moving around a lot because of my father's job. But most of my younger years were spent in Maryland, which is where I live now.
Aside from vlogging, what do you like to do in your free time?
I love jamming out to my favorite music. Usually it's songs with a really good beat that I can sing along to for hours. I secretly have a major passion for singing and wish to someday create music myself!

Are you on any school teams?
I always did sports after school—I made instant friends since we all had similar interests and I could easily stay in shape. My favorites were track & field and cross country. I was a runner!
What music are you listening to lately?
I am in love with Demi Lovato's new album. Not only does she have a beautiful voice but she is a great role model for young girls. It fulfills my need for some good pop songs!
**What's your dream job? **
I am living my dream job right now as a beauty vlogger! I get to work from home, make my own tutorials, and help girls all around the world! I love being able to communicate everyday with my awesome followers and subscribers who have supported me for years.
When did you first decide to start your channel?
I started my channel about three or four years ago. I had super curly hair that was very hard to style, so I searched on YouTube one day for a curly hair tutorial and couldn't find one! That's when it occurred to me to create my own. That night I recorded my very first hair tutorial in the bathroom using a laptop camera and uploaded it straight to YouTube.

What camera do you use?
I use a Nikon D3100 DSLR to film my beauty videos. I usually sit on my little wooden chair, place my camera on a tripod, and then put one umbrella light on either side of me. It’s my perfect set-up at the moment.
**What is your most-viewed video? **
How to Cut Your Bangs. Before filming it, I remember researching for so many hours how to cut hair so I could give proper instructions. Looking back now, I cannot believe I convinced so many girls to cut their hair! Luckily, most of them commented back saying it turned out great! I think most girls would rather cut their hair themselves, especially if it’s a quick bang trim. And that’s where I came in!
What is your favorite part about being a YouTube beauty guru?
I love being able to talk with my followers and subscribers everyday. They are seriously so friendly and nice. I feel blessed to have so much support from them! And now I have friends all over the world!

Many of our readers want to start their own channels. What three nitty-gritties would you advise them to do or not to do?
The best advice I can ever give is to be yourself. I spent about two or three years on YouTube giving instructional videos but didn’t feel comfortable showing off my true personality until this past year when my boyfriend Matt and I started our Daily Vlogging Channel. After seeing all the comments on that channel about how much they loved seeing the real me, I felt so much more confident! Because of that, I was able to open up and be myself. And don’t take yourself too seriously! Do what you want to do and film the videos you enjoy making. There will always be someone who doesn’t completely agree with what you’re doing or saying. Just remember that there are so many more people who love and support you!
What’s the latest beauty product you’ve fallen in love with?
I absolutely adore the Physicians Formula’s BB Cream. I’ve tried so many different ones but this has the best coverage and it really lasts! I’ll be wearing it all summer.
Do you have any cool storage tricks for keeping all your stuff organized?
For Christmas last year, my boyfriend bought me a Muji Clear Acrylic Case. I use it to store little things, like lipstick, eyeshadows, and mascaras. It has made getting ready in the morning a whole lot faster! Now everything is so organized and easy to find. If only I can get my hands on a few more, I’ll be set!
