Get the Look: Selena Gomez at the American Music Awards

Uber-babe Selena Gomez looked every inch the Hollywood starlet this past Sunday at the American Music Awards. From her beyond gorgeous, slinky Giorgio Armani gown to her luscious curls, it's no wonder that Justin Bieber has a serious case of Gomez-fever. While the odds of getting your hands on her stunning satin frock (not to mention her adorable boyfriend) may be, sadly, quite slim, her retro-style waves are easy to recreate at home!

Tresemme stylist John D. was the genius behind Selena's red carpet look. "First, I prepped her towel-dried hair with Tresemme 24 Hour Body Mousse, combing the product all the way through her hair for even distribution. After blow-drying the hair smooth, I added a deep side part. I took one-inch sections of hair on both sides of her face and used a one-inch curling iron to curl them, spraying her locks with Tresemme Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray while working for additional hold and to help protect her hair from the heat," he says. "Selena has bangs, so I curled them away from the face, and then I curled the side sections in a horizontal direction. Make sure the sections are evenly sized and not too big—this will ensure a consistent curl/wave pattern," he instructs. "Finally, after the curls have cooled, spray a boar bristle brush with Tresemme Climate Control Finishing Spray and brush out the curls until you achieve your desired wave pattern. Finish the look with more hairspray to make sure everything stays in place, and you're all set!"
