Five Bold Makeup Ideas for Graduation
During the graduation ceremony your hair will topped with a cap and your outfit hidden by a gown, but your makeup? That will take center stage. Kick your style up a notch by highlighting one feature and really making it stand out. You don't want to go crazy and look like a disco ball of glitter or let a purple lip overshadow you, but a nice pop of color or hint of shimmer will go a long way.
Make Cosmetics makeup artist Michael Angelo, founder of the Wonderland Beauty Parlor, is giving you five ideas for creating a look you can easily wear from ceremony to celebration.

A Bold Lip
"The fastest, easiest way to pump up your makeup is with a bright lip color," says Angelo. "It instantly lights up your face. If you’re feeling artistic, try using a deeper shade on the outside edges of your lips and fill the center with a lighter, brighter shade for extra ’wow’ factor!"

Dewy Skin
"Not every trick has to scream intensity—sometimes the smallest details can make the biggest difference. For a super fresh look with a 3-D glow, try using a skin illuminator on the places the light hits: The inside corners of your eyes, the center of your lids, the top edge of your lip line (AKA the cupids bow), the tops of your cheekbones, and the center of your nose and chin are all beautiful places to create that light reflection. Top it off with a rich coat of mascara and a sheer lip."

Vibrant Matte Eyeshadow
"Matte colors like banana yellow or electric blue can be sheered-out by applying them with a dry brush or they can be made to look really intense by wetting your brush and going at your lids like you’re Andy Warhol silk-screening an icon. Just be careful to keep the rest of your face relatively natural so the look says modern art, not circus."
Angelo recommends Make Eyeshadow in Siberian Blue, $18. Weseebeauty.com.

Super-Lined Eyes
"Who says you have to use just one eyeliner? Try a combination of black on top, brown on the bottom, and something bright along the waterline. Smudged, winged, or natural, it’ll make your peepers pop!"
Try e.l.f. Essential Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Twinkle Teal, $1. Eyeslipsface.com.

Glittering Lids
"Don’t just save this look for New Year’s Eve! Sweet, sparkling shades can make you look like a fairy tale come to life, even in the daytime. I like to use my ring finger to apply glittered shadow because it keeps the shadow on the lid and off the rest of the face."
Angelo recommends Make Glitter Eyeshadow in Alabaster, $18. Weseebeauty.com.
