Halsey, Hari Nef, Dascha Polanco and Awkwafina Star in ModCloth's New Campaign

ModCloth has just launched their newest campaign with a cast of some of our favorite women. Halsey, Hari Nef, Awkwafina and Dascha Polanco, all-star in the brand's new International Women's Day campaign, "Against the Current," looking more stunning than ever. In the video, all of the women wear a ModCloth dress that represents one of the four elements: earth, wind, water, and fire.

It starts with Halsey wearing a black and white mini dress having to deal with a rainstorm and eventually ending up in a pool of water. Then we see Awkwafina wearing a pink and purple midi-dress with a black blazer being blown away by the wind and holding on to a pole. At the same time, Hari Nef is shown heading into an open field wearing a pink button front dress, only to get it dirty by having to dig a hole. Lastly, Dascha Polanco represents fire as she walks through flames wearing the perfect summer polka dot dress.

In a press release, Lizz Wasserman, Vice President of Fashion and Concept at ModCloth explained the video. “The ModCloth woman of today isn’t limited by society’s ideas of what she can or can’t be, and we wanted this campaign to reflect that uniquely independent spirit,” she said. “With so much happening in our world, ModCloth wants to empower women everywhere to live authentically, even in the face of difficulties, because that self-confidence and boldness is ultimately what helps us all triumph.”
