The 'Harry Potter' Actor Who Played Viktor Krum’s Instagram Is Everything

In the world of Harry Potter, there is one storyline that is more divisive than the rest combined. It is, of course, the debate of whether Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley should have ended up together (or, in lay man's terms, whether Hermione should have dumped Ron, because, come on, that's totally the way the power structure in that relationship would have worked out). Though seeing the two live haphazardly ever after as Minister of Magic and First Wizard is enough to make any Potterhead smile, even J.K. Rowling admits that maybe they weren't supposed to end up together after all.

Who should Hermione have ended up with instead? Beyond the fact that she didn't need to end up with anyone — feminism in the wizarding world, y'all — there was always Viktor Krum, the international Quidditch star who was totally in love with Herm-own-ninny when Durmstrang visited Hogwarts. And she seemed into him, too, and likely would have dated him for real if it weren't for Ron's snide remarks about Vicky that made her second-guess herself. (Friends, man. Who needs 'em?)

Regardless, allllll of this backstory is to say that the actor who played Viktor Krum, that dark and brooding athletic specimen looks totally different now than he did in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Stanislav Yanevski appeared in both Goblet of Fire and The Deathly Hallows: Part I, and has done some acting work since those films, but nothing of the juggernaut scale as the Potter movies. Thankfully, that's why we have Instagram, and a quick perusal through Stan's account reveals lots and lots of tattoos. And leather. And a fully grown beard. The result is very, very Durmstrang, but gosh, we can't help but wonder: what would Hermione think?! (Maybe she has a thing for bad boys after all? I dunno. We leave the verdict up to you.)
