2/6What would be your dream collaboration?
If we could collaborate to perform with any artist as a group, we'd probably say Bruno Mars. He's a great writer and great performer. I heard some stuff recently from Julian Casablancas, and his solo stuff is amazing. If I could write with anyone, it would be him.
3/6What do you miss most when you're on tour?
I miss my parents a lot. I obviously don't see them loads anyway because they live up north. But knowing that they're only a couple of hours away is a lot different than knowing that they're 12 hours away. I always seem to make plans with friends just before I go away and then think about it the whole time I'm gone. It's nice to come home and see your mates.
4/6What advice do you have for aspiring musicians?
You get a lot of who you are as a musician across through the music you write. If you're writing your own music, then it's important to be really honest.
5/6How have things changed for you in the past couple of years?
If people would have told us two years ago that we'd be doing this, I don't think we would have believed them. It's a bit crazy, but it's good.
6/6What would you be doing if you weren’t a musician?
I’d be studying.
