Hayden Panettiere's 2012 Teen Choice Awards Hair and Makeup: Celebrity Beauty Breakdown
Take a cue from Hayden Panettiere, who always looks fresh-faced, and have fun with color without going overboard. At the Teen Choice Awards, the Neutrogena brand ambassador chose to complement her purple sequined dress with makeup in shades of violet and peach. Plus, those simple, relad waves allow her outfit to shine.
Makeup artist Amy Oresman and hairstylist Kylee Heath dish all the details on Hayden's look.

The Makeup
"For Hayden's skin, we used Neutrogena Shine Control Matte Foundation to keep oil at bay," Oresman explains. "To set the foundation and create a glow, I used Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush and Bronzer Duo in Raisin Glow. This combo still adds a beautiful sheen to the skin, but because it's a powder, you won't feel oily on a hot day. For eyes, we went with a dark plum shadow as a liner and eyeshadow. Apply the highlight color all over the lid and line and accent in outer corner with dark violet. This is a great way to tie in color without it overtaking your look. Then, use a bit of bronzer through your crease like eyeshadow. We went with a peachy-nude lip, using Neutrogena MoistureShine gloss in Healthy Peach. Peachy tones work beautifully with plum or violet eyes. For this look you just can't get enough mascara! Use two coats to add an extra pop."

The Hair
"Start by applying a volumizing spray from roots to ends," advises Heath. "Next, you'll blow dry the hair so it's smooth. You want movement, so be sure to work the roots in all different directions. Once the hair is dry, take inch and a half-sized sections and wrap hair around a curling iron with a two-inch barrel. Leave the ends uncurled to create a tousled wave. Finish the look with a light hairspray and a silicone-free serum from Leonor Greyl for a frizz-free texture."
