Hayley Kiyoko Takes Fans Through Her "Chance" MV Photo Diary: Exclusive

In the music video for her latest single “Chance,” Hayley Kiyoko and costar Alexandra Shipp explore a morning cottagecore kind of love. They gather fruits and vegetables off the ground in the most charming meet-cute before embarking on a dreamscape of a relationship — flowers, picnic cuddles, and romps in the hay absolutely included.
“I really wanted 'Chance' to capture that moment in time when two people are truly in love, and have the viewer feel that love and comfort through the lush, dreamy tones,” Hayley tells Teen Vogue about creating the music video. It's a romantic drama in miniature, a joyous portrayal of a light-filled relationship.
Hayley Kiyoko continues to be an iconic, versatile creator — she's gone viral this week for her dark, electro-pop song “Demons” soundtracking a scene in the Marvel series Loki — and “Chance” is yet another example of her directorial prowess. “Hayley is amazing," Alexandra adds. "She is a writer, director, singer, dancer and advocate. So to get to be a part of this video and see her wear all the hats was very inspiring.”
