Regina George might be a mean girl (in the most literal way possible), but she's basically our spirit animal. Between her hilarious musings on life ("boo, you wh*re!") and her vapid cluelessness, she's pretty much perfection. On Wednesdays we wear pink, that's all we're saying.

A mean girl who can sing? Yes, please! Sharpay was hilarious when we watched High School Musical back in ye olden days of Disney, and she's still hilarious now. Like many mean girls before her, she ends up being a good girl (err, kinda) at the end of the day. We're all in this together, guys!

Summer is the best part of early aughts teen drama The O.C., mostly due to how hilariously mean she is to her love interest, Seth Cohen (played by Adam Brody). Summer's sarcastic quips and ironic sense of humor make it impossible to hate her, which is why she's on our list. Plus, she once responded "Han Solo" when asked if she was going somewhere alone. Flawless!

Considering we spend most nights watching Gilmore Girls repeats on Netflix, we've had a lot of time to love to hate (and love to love!) Paris Gellar. This Type A goody two shoes spent the majority of Gilmore Girls' first seasons trying to ruin Rory Gilmore's life, but ultimately she's just like the rest of us: A good person who's a little rough around the edges.

There's basically no redeeming quality to Sarah Michelle Gellar's character in Cruel Intentions—this girl is pure evil through and through. That being said, we can't help but love someone with such great taste in '90s pant suits.

Let's take things back to the dawn of reality television, when Kristin Cavallari spent her time serving snark to her fellow classmates on Laguna Beach. Kristin was intentionally cast as a mean girl on the hit MTV show, and she played the part well—though she's since said it was all acting. Say it ain't so.

They had mean girls in the roaring '70s too, guys! Rizzo is the OG when it comes to snarky sidekicks, but she also had a complex personality and a super emotional side. Plus, Rizzo helped give Sandy a makeover, so that automatically makes her awesome in our book. (Like Clueless' Cher, makeovers give us a sense of control in a world full of chaos.)

We know, we know—Rosalie ended up being Team Bella, but for a while there she was totally not on board with a mere muggle joining her vampire family. To be honest, it was nice to have Rosalie's biting sense of humor cut through the love fest that was Edward + Bella + Jacob. Can we get an amen?

Freaks and Geeks is one of the most critically-acclaimed teen television shows ever, and Busy Philipps as Kim Kelly is the icing on the cake. Kim is a tough girl who isn't afraid to be a jerk—but she's also a girl's girl who wants to make friends. And of course, like many mean girls before her, she's dating the hottest guy in school (AKA James Franco).

Who doesn't love Elena's evil vampire dopplegänger, right? She's gorgeous, sucks blood in her free time, and has the most enviable closet ever. Plus, if you ever tire of Katherine you can just move right along to Elena, who's so good it hurts. Best of both worlds!
