Four Bright Eyeshadow Shades To Try In 2013
Creamy beige and barely-there bronze look great for everyday, but when you want to really add some oomph into your makeup, turn to this spring's rainbow shadow trend. You can wear a little (think a touch of eyeliner) or a lot, but the color has to be bold and bright. You know the neon green that came in your eyeshadow palette that you thought you'd never wear? Now's the time to give it a try. You can wear your chosen hue to school, out with friends, or for a party or dance. Wear it with confidence like a few of our favorite celebrities and you'll look red carpet-ready in no time!

Green Eyeshadow
Models at Dior rocked some pretty intense colors around their eyes on the spring 2013 runways. The vibrantly colored shadow accentuated with mini crystals! If you don’t feel like getting that wild, check out Emma Stone’s green smoky eye.
Emma’s makeup artist used the Revlon PhotoReady Primer + Shadow palette in Pop Art to give her that kick of green, but the true intensity came from her technique. She used the jade hue with a damp brush and packed on the color slightly wet to increase its pigmentation.

Pink Eyeshadow
This color can be intimidating to wear, but the theme on the runway and red carpet is clearly to go big or go home. Models at Donna Karan wore a ring of saturated pink around their eyes, while Elle Fanning kept the strong color just to her eyelids.
If you want to try pink shadow but don’t think you should invest in a whole new product just yet, copy this trick from Elle’s makeup artist. She actually dipped a wet shadow brush into a rosy Chanel blush and applied it to her lids!

Blue Eyeshadow
This aqua shade was making a big splash on the runways and the models at Joy Cioci were wearing the color from lash line to brow bone. You have to be brave to try blue, so of course risk-taker Nicki Minaj tried the trend—and looks fabulous!
If a block of blue seems like too much to you, try applying the color with an eyeliner just to your waterline or in your inner corners. It will be a pretty surprise for anyone who gets close enough to see it.

Orange Eyeshadow
A citrus-toned shadow adorned the lids of models at Peter Som, and even the neutral eye makeup-loving Taylor Swift is trying the trend. The singer wore a smoky orange-bronze look to the People’s Choice Awards.
If you’re too intimidated to try a straight Tropicana-colored shadow, make like Taylor and tone it down with bronze or brown color. Make sure you blend so there aren’t any harsh lines between the different shades you use.
