The Makeup
"I created a flawless base with Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer, and Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder," explains Nelson. "I used NARS Eyeshadow in Blondie to accentuate her eye shape and Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Fantasme, a clear glitter shade so fine it almost looks wet, over the shadow for a shine effect. I made the lash line very black by using L'Oréal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black and individual false lashes. Next, I gently contoured her cheeks with NARS Blush in Amour. Her lips were lined and filled in with NARS Lip Liner Pencil in Jungle Red and topped with NARS Semi-Matte Lipstick in Heat Wave."

The Hair
"I started Kristen with wet hair and applied a lot of Kérastase Volumactive Mousse to the whole head," says Giannandrea. "I dried the hair in all directions without a brush—just hot air. Then, I brushed the hair with a Mason Pearson Brush to pump up the volume. Next, I used a one inch curling iron and curled the whole head loosely. I used a small amount of Supremo Magic Move Soft Cream to give the hair a rich texture. I twisted the locks loosely and pinned them in place at the back of the head, leaving volume at the top to give it the right proportion. This style needs to be loose and messy in the back—not tight. The ends of the hair should form a cascading effect down the back. I sprayed the look with L'Oréal Paris Elnett Strong Hold Hairspray to finish."
