Why did you initially decide to start a vlog?
I started to watch YouTube beauty videos and something about them just clicked with my personality. I loved the idea of beauty vlogging and really wanted to have a voice in the community. In part, I also thought beauty would be easier to talk about than to write about.
What is the story behind your vlog's title?
LoLuFullyLoaded is both the name of my blog and my vlog. I wanted a site that incorporated my name Lo, and I liked the sound of Fully Loaded. Lo Lu simply stands for my name, Lo Luthringshausen.

If your vlog had a mission statement, what would it be?
Inspire and be inspired! Not to mention: There's no such thing as being too fabulous.
How would you describe your style?
My style changes with my mood and the season. I would say my fashion style is both edgy and chic. I love anything black and spiky, but I also love to look classically trendy.

How long have you been into makeup?
Growing up, beauty and fashion were always interests of mine. And around middle school, I realized I had a knack for it all and started to pursue it.
What beauty product(s) can you not live without?
NARS Laguna Bronzer, Bobbi Brown Cream Blush and a great bottle of mascara.
Do you prefer drugstore or high-end makeup brands?
It really depends on the product. There are some products I would never buy at the drug store and there are others I wouldn't want to splurge on. I like my actual face products to be high-end because I care a lot about my skin.

What are the best aspects of running your own blog? What are the hardest aspects?
The best aspect of having my own blog is that I get to express myself however I want. I created my own site and write everything on it. The only bad aspect is staying on top of everything. My website is a high priority of mine and balancing it with other commitments can become difficult. It can also be difficult trying to please all of my readers. You have to make sure every post has product and content that almost every girl can relate too.
Where are your favorite places to shop?
Shopping in general is an addiction of mine. I love places like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. But I also love going to boutiques in the city or little unknown shops when I travel.

What's in your travel beauty bag?
First, I always pack my skin care products—they're a must! Then I pack my makeup, which includes a really good foundation, a bronzer and a blush, all in colors I could wear everyday no matter the occasion. I also like to bring a neutral palette like the one by NAKED. And finally, I have to have black mascara and eyeliner.

What or who is your makeup inspiration?
I really like a minimalist palette, so I love it when I see a celebrity wearing little-to-no makeup and still looking gorgeous. Lauren Conrad is a perfect example. Her face always glows, and she wears little eye makeup. She definitely inspires me.
Most memorable makeup faux pas?
I used to wear thick black eye liner and no blush. I burned those pictures a long time ago.

What's your daily makeup routine?
I always wash my face and moisturize right after. Then, I prime and follow that up with Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation. After that, I touch up with concealer—I swear by Bobbi Brown's—and set everything with MAC Studio Fix Powder. I put a little life into my face with NARS bronzer, then add a blush I feel fits my mood and outfit that day. For my eyes, I usually just use a couple swipes of mascara—I like to keep it simple.

What are your personal favorite blogs and vlogs? Why?
I follow so many blogs and YouTube channels! A few of my bookmarks are The Zoe Report, The Beauty Department and Refinery 29. And I love Tumblr! I’m also inspired by high-end beauty and fashion and obsessed with the runway shows each year. I use that inspiration for my own site.
Any advice for anyone who wants to start her/his own vlog?
Be committed, be passionate and be yourself. There are so many girls out there beginning to vlog, but as long as you have good intentions and stay true to yourself, you’ll go far.

Are there any trends you're particularly inspired by this season?
I love trends. They are so inspiring—it amazes me how creative some designers can be! Two winter trends I love are glitter and red lips! But this winter, I'm also really loving the neon trend that has continued from the summer into the season.
If you had a thousand dollars to spend on makeup, what would you buy?
Well, first I would faint—that's a lot of money! Then I would probably spend it all on NARS, Make Up Forever, Laura Mercier, and MAC.
