When and why did you first decide to start your channel?
Two summer ago. I began making videos out of boredom and a desire to share my knowledge and tips about makeup and fashion with girls my age. I had no idea if I would be successful, but my goal was to help at least one person. I also wanted to make friends with similar interests since none of my friends at the time enjoyed beauty or fashion. I can honestly say it was the best decision I've ever made. I've formed some of my best friendships in the entire world from making videos.
What is your beauty philosophy?
Less is always more! It sounds cliché, but it's true. Let makeup enhance your beauty, by playing up the features you already have and love.

What's in your makeup bag right now?
I'm very minimalistic when it comes to bringing makeup around with me. In my purse, I currently only have four products. Blotting sheets, powder, lip balm, and lipgloss. I don't like to reapply my makeup all the time, just touch up the small things that wear off.
What three beauty products do you find yourself buying over and over again?
I adore my Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Foundation because it gives me wonderful light coverage with a dewy finish. I love my MAC All That Glitters Eye Shadow because it's the perfect shimmery color for my lid. My Maybelline Falsies Mascara is a favorite because it gives my lashes the perfect amount of intensity, curl, and volume.

Where do you get ideas or inspiration for your tutorials?
Everywhere! I usually make tutorials based on new looks I wear for various occasions, like everyday, nighttime, inexpensive looks, or fast summer makeup. Once I get new products, I also love creating looks with them and filming tutorials!
Besides vlogging, what's a typical day like for you?
I'm in high school and, when not filming videos, I spend lots of time doing homework and projects. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends and family. I like to eat, go to the beach, travel, and watch movies and TV. I'm your average lazy teenager!

How do you balance school, a social life, and your channel?
I balance my life by prioritizing. School always comes first, but YouTube and my social life are my next priority. I try to split my time evenly between spending time with friends and filming, so I have balance between all the things I love to do.
Do you have advice for a reader that wants to start a channel?
Go for it! Be yourself, be creative, and have a good time. Don't take it too seriously because it's meant to be fun. And don't allow negativity to bring you down. You'll make friends with other beauty gurus and I promise you'll have an amazing time!

What is your favorite hairstyle to create?
I have naturally curly hair and I really love embracing it! Using my mousse, I scrunch my hair giving it a fun beachy look with tons of curls. It's fast, easy, and heat-free so my hair doesn't get damaged.
What was the hardest tutorial you've ever filmed and why?
I would say all tutorials are hard because of the criticism you can get in response. You can't impress everyone and every time you upload a look, you have to be prepared for what people might say. In the end, it's worth it because they're so fun to make and to watch!
