MadisenRoseBeauty1 Gives You Advice on Starting a Great YouTube Channel
MadisenRoseBeauty1, or Maddi as she's known to her devoted followers, has a talent for getting girls excited about beauty. She makes tutorials about things real teens want to know, like how to do your hair and makeup for a One Direction concert, or what polishes to buy for spring. Maddi also has a great sense of humor, pranking her viewers this April Fools' Day by creating a Cara Delevigne makeup tutorial that gets crazier by the minute until you finally realize that—phew!—she's just joking.

What made you decide to start your channel?
I've always been into fashion and beauty, and when I saw people on YouTube making videos about that, I figured I could do it too. I've been doing it for three years now!
What's your beauty philosophy?
Always take your makeup off at night and never pick or pop a blemish.

**Where do you get ideas or inspiration for your tutorials? **
I always turn to my viewers first. It’s all about them, so I try to do videos they would want to see. I also get inspiration from current beauty and fashion trends.
**Who are a few of your favorite vloggers? **
It feels like I’m on YouTube 24/7, so this is really difficult. I love Andreaschoice because her videos are so informative and fun to watch. Another one of my favorites is ARose186 because she’s so funny and entertaining. Lastly I’d pick BeyondBeautyStar because I love her style and her videos are always helpful.

What's in your makeup bag right now?
It always changes, but right now I have powder, eyeliner, tinted lip balm, and mascara in there. I use them for touch-ups on the go.
**What beauty products do you find yourself buying over and over again? **
I go through mascara, lip balm, and eyeliner like it's my job. I always find myself running out!
What's your favorite hairstyle to create?
I love wearing my hair curly, but it's so time-consuming and damaging to heat style it. I normally let my hair dry naturally or wear in a high ponytail or top knot.

What was the hardest tutorial you've ever filmed?
Most of my makeup tutorials are very hard, but my Halloween videos take the cake. I like to go all out with the decoration and editing, so it takes a lot of hard work.
**Do you have advice for the reader who wants to start a channel? **
Try your best and never give up. YouTube is the best thing that ever happened to me—it has changed my life—so who knows? It could do the same for you!
