Get Ready for Game Days! Madison Pettis Gives Us an Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Look at Her Fall NFL Apparel Campaign
Photo: Courtesy of NFL Apparel1/7Having been born in Texas, Madison Pettis was raised on football. “It’s literally a way of life there,” she tells us from the set of her photo shoot for the NFL’s fall fashion campaign. But it wasn’t just her Southern upbringing that led to her love of the sport, it was also one of her first film roles, playing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s daughter in The Game Plan. “Football was a huge part of the film and we shot a lot of scenes at Gillette Stadium, which is the home of the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots!” Her second favorite team, after hometown favorites the Dallas Cowboys.
When the NFL approached Madison to front their fall campaign, it was a no-brainer. “When they asked if I was a football fan and if I’d be interested in being in the campaign I was immediately excited," she said. "I am so honored to be an ambassador for the line.” From classic tees and fun mesh tank tops to nail wraps representing your favorite tees, this takes game day dressing to a whole new (and much more fashionable) level. 2/7“What I love about the whole line is that it’s not just for game days — you can combine them with other pieces to dress them up for a night out on the weekend, or keep it casual for school or chilling with friends. It’s great how we mixed and matched the NFL apparel with other pieces to create so many different styles for back-to-school!”
3/7“I was also able to give my input during the styling process, which has been a lot of fun! My favorite piece from the collection is definitely the Mesh Fashion Top with the mesh sleeves — it’s unexpected and different and definitely matches my personal style.”
4/7“Great music definitely helps create a fun atmosphere during photo shoots and motivates me — luckily, the photographer and I have very similar music tastes! We played a lot of Beyoncé, which is always a photo shoot staple! I think she brings out the Sasha Fierce in me! We also played Rihanna — she’s perfect for photo shoot inspiration!”
5/7“I don’t have one specific style because a girl’s gotta have options, right? It really changes from day to day. Sometimes it’s a bit sporty, or it can be very festival boho inspired with rompers, kimonos, and floral prints, and other times I’m edgier with leather jackets, ripped jeans, and boots. It really depends on my mood and where I’m going.”
6/7“Right now I’m obsessed with Zoe Kravitz, she has a really cool Instagram. I also love Kevin Hart because his hashtag captions make me laugh! For fashion I follow Alexander Wang, Nasty Gal, Revolve Clothing, Intermix, and of course Teen Vogue! The NFL Fan Style Instagram also has a cool vibe that showcases fans' and players' style in unique ways – it’s fun to look through for inspiration.”
7/7“The photo shoot lasted all day, but it was so much fun and I didn’t want it to end! We also had a lot of fun props to play around with on set like foam fingers and confetti poppers! My favorite moment was when we were all jumping up trying to catch the football! We got really competitive [laughs]! I think those shots are going to turn out really cool.”
