Five Tips For Wearing Makeup with Glasses

Groom Your Brows
"Groom your brows to subtly follow the shape of your glasses. Natural brows will work best with a straight frame, thinner upward slanting brows with cat-eye glasses, and the classic arch complements rounded or oval glasses. My essential tools are tweezers and an eyebrow brush. Perfectly groomed brows can be your signature! These mini tweezers from Revlon are great to toss in your bag and go."

Use the Right Tools
"After applying a neutral base, add a darker color at the lash line and blend up. Blocks of color work better than a subtle gradation. For this, a medium-sized brush is critical. The densely packed 100 percent natural hair is soft and easy to blend with. The brush should be no bigger than the eyelid itself. Invest in a set that you can use for all like these e.l.f. brushes."

Precise Eyeliner
"Spend time getting your eyeliner precise at the lash line. On the lower lash, don't draw on the inner rim as this makes the eye look smaller. If your eyes are already on the smaller side, you may want to use nude eyeliner pencil around the inner rim of the eyes to make them appear more rounded. Be sure to have a Q-tip on hand to correct any mistakes!"

Apply Neutral Tones
"Neutral colors are more flattering with glasses, but this doesn't mean they need to be boring! Shimmering beige, soft matte brown, pale caramels, or even gold shades look great on lighter skin. Those with deeper skin tones can pick from mocha, dark brown, or a mushroom shade. To ensure that they're blended flawlessly, use a smudging brush. The deep brush is cut to fit the eye socket, making precise blending simple. Your e.l.f brush set should do the trick!"

Create a Strong Lip
"If you’re still feeling insecure, shift focus elsewhere. A strong lip looks very chic with glasses. Just be sure to prep the lip thoroughly with chapstick or another non-irritating balm."
