Met Gala 2018 Looks That Definitely Wouldn't Be Allowed In Catholic School
The Met Gala 2018 saw celebrities interpreting the "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,“ in completely different ways. While some went the literal route, like Gigi Hadid with her stained glass dress, or Ariana Grande with her Sistine Chapel gown, others interpreted it a bit more subtly — I saw that hidden message Selena Gomez. One thing that almost every single look had in common, however, is that none of them would actually be allowed in a Catholic school.
Anyone who attended a school under the diocesan knows that when it comes to the rules of style, there's really no getting around them. And as someone who went to Catholic School all my life, I can tell you that from the length of your skirt to the height of your shoe, the guidelines are strict, uncompromising, and they are not to be ignored.
Of course, every school is different but for the most part, the celebs at the Met Gala would be in the principal's office if they had to adhere to the standard Catholic school dress code. Ahead, 7 red carpet looks — and the punishments that would go along with them.
