Michelle Phan on Her New Jewelry Collection Ever Eden

Beautiful stories. I was drawn to Joan of Arc's story, and wanted the first collection to be inspired by her journey. I think what makes jewelry so remarkable is the story behind it. Like an engagement ring, a family heirloom, or a meaningful jewelry piece that is passed down from mother to daughter. Unlike makeup, I can't pass down a lipstick to my future daughter, but I can do so with a ring. Ever Eden celebrates stories.

Absolutely. As a young girl, I used to draw and design my own jewelry for fun, never imagining I would ever have a jewelry line. It's a dream come true.
You attended design school—what did you want to be when you grew up as a kid?
I wanted to be an artist, so in a way I have already fulfilled this dream.

It's a very busy schedule that doesn't allow me much free time. If I'm not traveling, which is 50-70% of the time, I usually work out in the mornings and then head into the office or a shoot for the day. I'm lucky to have my hobby as a job so I love what I do and the day flies by.

I am very hands on, from finding the name and inspiration for Ever Eden to designing photo shoots and editing the photos and videos. This is my brand and I am very passionate about it.
What's the best way to wear statement jewelry?
It's all about balance. If you're going to wear a statement necklace, make sure your outfit is simple and chic. Avoid embellishments and loud prints; focus more on solid colors and simple prints. A statement necklace is supposed to stand out and give you that finished polished look.

A simple chic ring, like my Eden's Knight ring, and a cuff. I personally don't wear earrings that often, but if I do, I like to pull my hair back and let my earrings stand out.
And on that note, what makeup do you wear daily?
I usually wear just concealer, eyeliner, blush, and a bold lip color. Unless it's a fun occasion—then I'll go all out and break out my makeup wardrobe.

FAWN stands for For All Women Network. It focuses on producing original programming of fashion and beauty media online.
What else do you have in the works?
I am currently involved with MyGlam.com, EverEden, FAWN, and my own channel. Hopefully will have more to come next year.
