Dorm Room Decorating Ideas: Mod
If you love all things retro, decorating your dorm room will be a cinch. Start with a neutral bedspread (nothing boring, of course—who says a light blue animal print comforter isn't a neutral?) and add an equally-versatile rug underfoot.
Now for the fun part: infusions of neons—like a hot pink desk chair, cool orange jar, or yellow picture frame—turn sweet pastels into a cool girl's palace. Don't go overboard, though. Balance out the colorful accents with plenty of bright white pieces. A porcelain owl lamp is a nice alternative to overhead light and looks awesome on a side table, while a rhino head serves as the cutest necklace holder known to man.
