20 New Models to Know This Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week officially commences today, and for fashion devotees, that means embarking on one of our favorite activities: looking for the next big face in modeling. Don't get us wrong: we love seeing familiar names like Kendall Jenner, Joan Smalls, Liu Wen and Cara Delevingne on the runway. But there's no better way to start off NYFW than with an inclusive sneak peak at the fresh cadre of faces poised to dominate fashion season. These stunners, chosen by our Bookings Director Trent Axelson, go beyond just being beautiful; they're activists, DJs, and body-positive advocates. There's a new wave of multi-hyphenate models taking over NYC, and we highly suggest you memorize their names, stat.

How she was discovered: "I was discovered in Guadalajara in a mall. I was walking around with my mom and a guy approached and asked me if I was a model. He invited me to his agency but my mom wouldn't let me because she said I couldn't just go with a stranger. My cousin was attending some modeling courses at an agency in Guadalajara, and my parents told me to go with her so that I could know what modeling was about. I went with her to the classes and got scouted by that agency. From there, I started working with an agency in Mexico City and from there I began working in NY with IMG and then IMG worldwide."
Fun fact: Mariana Zaragoza has pet pigs and loves to Flamenco dance.
