Eyes
Since monsters actually look "quite fabulous with under-eye circles," as Anderson says, there’s no need to do any concealing first. "Simply apply foundation just where needed after you’ve finished your eyes." To begin the process of getting ghoulish, "Take Sealing Gel and Pure Pigment in Zeitgeist, and mix them together with your eye shadow brush to create a water-resistant, highly pigmented paste.
Apply this all over the eyelid, extending it to just beneath the brow bone and creating a circle all the way around the eye, just to where the eye socket ends," she says, giving your eyes a hollowed-out effect. Next, using a clean eyeshadow brush, "Pick up Zeitgeist dry pigment and stipple it over the area where you already applied color to increase the shimmer effect," she advises.

To keep the darkness concentrated around just the eyes, use makeup-removing wipes to get rid of any stray pigment. Now, it’s time to create wild brows: Anderson recommends using Eyeliner Cake in Mislead (a deep black) mid with the sealing gel. "Apply it with an angled brush using short, upward strokes to create the illusion of an angry monster," she says. Get scary long lashes by using False Lashes #13.

Apply your regular foundation, and then contour the face to complete the sunken-in illusion. Using Eyebrow Cake in Motto (a taupe grey) with an angled blush brush, "brush it into the area where the jaw hinges to sculpt the cheek on both sides of the face. Using any product remaining on the brush, contour the sides of the nose and beneath the jaw line for a skeletal touch," she says.

Lips
For the lips, Anderson recommends two different colors—a softer one for a daytime monster and a more dramatic hue for after the sun sets. To keep it subdued for school, Intense Lipgloss in Belladonna is "girly but still gives definition."

After dark, though, turn it up a notch with the "angry and daring" blue-violet lipstick in Kontrol. For a 3D holographic effect, use a fluffy powder brush to apply Pure Pigment in Beguile (a light shimmer) all over the face. The sinister finishing touch: blood droplets around the mouth created with waterproof Precision Ink in Havoc, so that you look like you just feasted on flesh.
