9 Movies About Killer Animals That Will Totally Freak You Out
We often categorize people we know as a “dog person” or “cat person” under the assumption that they are an animal person. And truthfully, who can resist the love and affection of a furry little critter? But not all animals are cute and cuddly ... and that is especially true in horror animals starring evil, killer animals!
Blake Lively's newest movie The Shallows is all about a surfer who comes into close encounter with a shark that basically wants her dead. It'll make you second-guess your trips to the beach this summer, but it's not the only movie to make you question the animal world. These nine horror flicks about animals-gone-bad will have you thinking twice the next time you go to pet a stranger’s dog, go swimming in the ocean, or step outside where ... the birds ... can be lurking. (Seriously! The Birds is really scary!)

Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, this horrifying movie will keep you on the edge of your seat, eyeing your cat suspiciously. When the family cat dies, Louis decides to bury it in the pet cemetery near an ancient Native American burial ground that is believed to have otherworldly powers. Anaconda (1997)
Before Nicki Minaj was bouncing to the mean beat of “Anaconda,” Queen Jennifer Lopez was fighting one with her bare hands — at least, a fictional snake. This classic '90s flick will have you jumping and squeezing the person sitting beside you at every turn. Featuring J Lo, Ice Cube, and Owen Wilson, the plot follows a documentary film crew as they are terrorized by a larger-than-life snake deep in the heart of the Amazonian jungle.

Willard (2003)
Does the thought of hundreds of rats crawling all over your skin terrify you? It excites Willard. It’s a classic tale, really. Boy loses father, boy is tormented at work and friendless, boy befriends an army of rats and commands them to do his demented bidding — except, the boy is actually a 32-year-old man, played by the creepily kooky Crispin Glover.

Cujo (1983)
Warning: this movie will give you mixed feelings about Beethoven. Another horror story penned by the great Stephen King, Cujo centers around a newly rabid Saint Bernard with incredible strength, and even more impressive rage. Will he succeed in trying to claim the lives of everyone he meets, or will he eventually realize he used to be a good boy and trot off to find some Beggin’ Strips?
